We came to Savannah for a mini-honeymoon and had an amazing trip. The inn was a perfect place to stay as it is close to so many places. We highly recommend going to Sister Patt’s (a Gullah Geechee) slavery tour. It is truly life changing. Please check out Geneva’s chicken for the BEST chicken in the south. Then head to Crystal Beer Parlor for their fried pound cake…you will thank us 🙂 Enjoy your trip!

A perfectly delightful visit to Savannah! We sure got our steps in everyday as we explored the historic district! Godley Manor is a wonderful place- so convenient, and filled with lovely things. These floors! Our explorations led us south of the park where we enjoyed small businesses, cafes, and beautiful homes. This was a glimpse of where the “real” Savannah-ites live. Although it looks and sounds a bit kitschy, the Prohibition is an accurate glimpse of how the temperance movement and the amendment changed American society- unemployment resulted, as did the “Roaring Twenties.” SCAD is amazing and we were entranced by the Welcome Center. We’ll be back, driving this time so our reach can be extended.

Our son’s 40th birthday! My husband and I drove 2-1/2 hours from Charleston, SC, for a last minute get away from our second home in Charleston- from Tennessee. Godley Manor is a lovely Bed & Breakfast Inn. We enjoyed our stay. God bless and Happy Easter Sunday. We had the time of our life in the Godley Manor. Even though there was a ghost (allegedly), everything about our stay was divine!! Savannah in the Spring has to be one of the most lovely places on earth. If anyone ever reads this, please order Mapo Tofu at E-Tang and great seafood boil at The Juicy Seafood. This was the best best friend trip ever!! We came to Savannah so I could show my besti the city for the first time and Godley Manor was the perfect place to show off Savannah’s southern charm! The cherry on top of a perfect trip. Thanks!!!
