Cancellations
This reservation can be cancelled up to three (3) days prior to arrival without penalty.  Three (3) days prior to arrival, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night stay with applicable taxes and fees will be charged to the credit card on file.  If you need to cancel your reservation after the deposit has been taken, please contact us to do so.  Failure to cancel your reservation prior to, or on your expected arrival date, will result in the remaining balance of your stay being charged to the card on file.

Non-refundable reservations will be paid for at time of booking and cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If you expect any alterations in your travel plans, we recommend travel insurance and/or booking a refundable rate instead.

Any reservation that includes the day of the St. Patricks Day parade will need to be paid for at the time of booking. If you need to cancel your reservation after full payment has been made and prior to February 15, please contact us. After February 15, the deposit is non-refundable.

Reservations for Rock & Roll Marathon weekend will need to be paid in full at time of booking.  Your reservation may be cancelled at any point in time prior to October 1.  After October 1, refunds are not available.

Terms & Conditions

Rooms can accommodate up to 2 people and the minimum age for overnights guests is 18.

Historic Property

Please note that this is a historic property and as such is not handicap accessible.  All rooms require at least 1 stair to enter and most rooms require more than 1 flight of stairs.  We do not have any elevators on the property.  

Check-In
Check-In is from 3:00pm to 6:00pm daily.  If you will be arriving after 6:00pm, please contact our front desk to make arrangements.

Check-Out
Check out is at 11:00am daily. A noon check-out can be arranged for a $10 fee.

Baggage
If you need assistance with your luggage, please let our front desk know.  In addition, we are able to hold your bags prior to check-in or after check-out as necessary.  Please contact our front desk in order to make these arrangements.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the property. Guests violating this policy will be asked to leave the property immediately, and a room cleaning fee of $150 will be assessed in addition to forfeiture of any deposits and/or balance paid.

Pets
Due to the historic nature of the property, pets including emotional support or therapy animals are not allowed anywhere in or on property grounds. Guests violating this policy will be asked to leave the property immediately, and a room cleaning fee of $150 will be assessed in addition to forfeiture of any deposits and/or balance paid.

Parking
We have a small parking lot located on the property. Larger vehicles may need to be parked on the street, but there is ample street parking nearby free of charge.   The City has SWEEP ZONES in the early morning hours, and certain sides of the street are marked as No Parking at given hours of the night. We are happy to help you find proper parking. REMEMBER – 12:01am Saturday really means Friday night…

Lost Key / Lockout
The fee for a lost key is $25.  If the Innkeeper is contacted after hours to let you back into your room due to a lost key, a $100 fee will be charged to the credit card on file.


St. Patricks Day
Check in or check out on the day of the parade is not available. Any reservation that includes March 17 will need to be paid in full at the time of booking.  If you need to cancel your reservation after full payment has been made and prior to February 15, please contact us.  After February 15, your deposit is non-refundable.  Our room rates are based upon 2 person occupancy and extra guests are not allowed.  Parking for 1 vehicle (that fits in our parking lot) is included in the room reservation, however if you leave the property at any point in time during your St. Patricks Day stay, we are not responsible for you being able to return to the property with your vehicle or trying to find another parking space. We are happy to valet park any additional vehicles for $30 per day. 

Rock & Roll Marathon Weekend
Usually the 1st Weekend of November

Mandatory Hurricane Evacuations
Hurricanes affecting Savannah
Because each hurricane is different, decisions will be made moment by moment as necessary to ensure the safety of our property and our guests. If a mandatory evacuation order is issued, each guest will be contacted individually via their cell phone number on file to discuss appropriate actions for the guest, at that time.
Hurricanes preventing guests from arriving
Please email the marketing director at marketing@1790inn.com as soon as you think there will be a problem  and be sure to provide your cell phone number. We will follow mandates issued by state and local governments as well as force majeure issued by travel companies and work with you to reschedule or cancel your reservation.

Whole House Reservation (Event Option)

A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the property.  The cost of the weekend will be the equivalent to the refundable rate of all 10 rooms at that time with a 2 night minimum.  The balance of the reservation will be taken 30 days prior to arrival. Check-in will be at 3:00pm.  If you would like access to the common areas and parlors at noon on check-in day, there will be an additional $500 fee.
