History

Godley Manor is a 10,710 square foot mansion built in 1866 for Donald McDonald. It was later remodeled in 1899 and at one point, it was converted into eight rental units. It has 39 rooms with 21 fireplaces, a stunning 40-foot drawing room that features two marble fireplaces, two crystal chandeliers, and large pocket doors opening to the formal dining room. Additional beautiful architecture include the parlor level’s 13-foot ceilings and the oak, cherry, and maple wainscoting. The library has original all cherry paneling with a beveled glass mirror above the mosaic tile fireplace.
